Our Story

As technology has developed in recent years, so has pressure increased on Valley Christian School to provide another alternative to home schooling families. Christian families have been requesting a Distributed Learning program that is Christ-centred and technology based.

In early 2011, the Valley Christian School Society voted to extend, through a distance learning branch of the society, a more structured and assistive program of learning to families by establishing a separate Distributed Learning School.

In September 2011, teachers were acquired and the VCS DL program was launched. Drawing on the experience of our Main Campus, especially in regard to curriculum, staff and administration, and combining that with new technology, VCS DL now brings Christ-centred education to families in the Mission area and throughout British Columbia.

Our DL teachers meet with each family to set up programs for their children, whether that is 100% home based or a combination of at school and at home learning.

We currently offer Kindergarten to Grade 9.
